スウェーデン・デスメタルパイオニアの一つ、MERCILESSの1997年のファースト、1988年セカンドデモがリマスターの上再発。故MAYHEMのEuronymousのレーベル「Deathlike Silence」の第一弾リリースとして名高い「MERCILESS / The Awakening」(1990)への源流がパーフェクトに響き渡る素晴らしい一本。このデモから4曲が再録されてファーストアルバム「The Awakening」に収録されます。ジャケ画はオランダ人アーティストにしてメタル雑誌「Aardshok」のライター、Wim Baelus。
